FUCK IT! I'M SICK AND TIRED OF LIVING IN THIS SHIT PIT! THE HOUSING IS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE THE TAXES ARE WAY TOO FUCKING HIGH THERE'S TOO MANY TRULY STUPID AND IDIOTIC BRAIN MELTED POT HEADS AND THE VAST MAJORITY OF YOU ARE LYING VIOLENT POT DEALING STEALING THIEVING ASSHOLE PRICKS WHO DON'T DESERVE TO LIVE! SO THAT'S IT! I'M TAKING MY MILLIONS AND MOVING TO SOME PLACE WHERE EVERYONE ISN'T JUST PLAIN FUCKING CRAZY. FUNNY BUT I ORIGINALLY MOVED UP HERE 20 YEARS AGO FROM (000000000) BECAUSE IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL AND I THOUGHT THE PEOPLE WERE SO COOL AND NICE BUT THAT'S ALL BULLSHIT. YOU HAVE ALL TOTALLY RUINED THIS AREA AND I HOPE FUCKING CALIFORNIA SLIDES INTO THE SEA AND TAKES ALL OF YOU ASSHOLES WITH IT.

From Humboldt Craigslist but republished here in case it gets flagged on CL and taken down, like most entertaining "Rants and Raves" eventually do.

What we don't know for sure is if this person is talking about just pot-centric Humboldt County, or all of California. In any case, it doesn't matter much because it sounds like he/she is moving soon. Later on, anonymous ranter!

Now onto another rant on CL, this guy is a grower who has some interesting opinions and took the time to write his thoughts out for all of us. Thing is, we can't help noticing that while he says he is a college graduate, he fails to understand the difference between capitalism and venture capital, says that the housing economy here has not been affected by the national downturn (which is, of course, incorrect), and is incapable of using proper grammar ("their" instead of "they're", "were" instead of "we're", etc.). In the end the author takes the "If you don't like it then leave" attitude in order to deflect any further discussion on the topic.

"...if you don't like it then move to Iowa, or Indiana or some place..."

*Sigh* Maybe the first ranter is right, maybe it is hopeless here and this place really is so chock full of greedy criminal pot growers and filled to the brim with mediocrity and a crevice of society that actually wants less law enforcement and fewer laws, that there is no room for community-minded professionals interested in restoring a sense of pride and togetherness to our secluded region. Maybe we're wasting our time here at Humboldt County News and it's all for naught, nobody listens, nobody cares, everyone disagrees, and coherent discussions are nonexistent. Our readers continuously state that they want fewer police, fewer laws, less community involvement, and for everyone who doesn't share their view to just go away.

this was probly written by a cop but i do agree with some parts, too many tweekers and thieves but to say pot growing is immorral, this guy will burn in the same hell as the " lazy/greedy" pot growers whose jobs are way harder than the prick who writes this bs for the humcounty news!

We are not cops. We are not growers. Our jobs are difficult, and this blog is not a job. We work 60 hour weeks in white collar jobs here in Humboldt County. We pay taxes so you criminals don't have to (apparently). The blog was an attempt to better the community, but as you two have reiterated here, the community does not want to be better. It wants to be lawless and selfish. Have fun with that.

I'd rather be in heaven than any place on earth. That guy is probably going to be pissed off wherever he goes because mean people are everywhere. He will take his millions with him, millions of hurt feelings. bwahahahhaaaaa.

The Authors, as they have reiterated in their comment toward those commenting toward thier reiteration of others' comments...don't sound like they want to increase better anything themselves. Maybe communication has more to do with what is being said than how? Talking down of someone because of their spelling and grammar immediately discredits anything you're saying about bridging communication gaps, in my opinion. Shut up and be the change you want to see, rather than blog about other crybabies. One would think white-collar workers with college degrees would know this...did I spell hippocrite right? does it matter?

How have things changed since craigslist came to humboldt? How much time do you spend glazing it, and interpreting what's outside your window with what you read? It's happening on a subconscious level, but a shallow one. Step out of it. The internet is worse than TV....go outside and play during your time off, you stupid stupid idiots.

There is so much hate here and so much negativity. How can you peope all think that cursing at each other and demeaning one another is doing anything posititve for humboldt? I have lived in eureka for ten years and it is by far the most hate filled area I've ever been to. Its also one of the dirtiest and sleaziest parts of california. Yeah I'm with ranter no. 1. Time tp move back to the real world ie out of humboldt.

Well, I have to tell you, it's a far sight better living on the North Shore of Kauai than it was living in Helmboldt (Mendocino, actually). The weather is sweeeeeeeeet! It's warm all the time, It's a one minute walk from my house to the sweet, sandy beaches and I love the summer rain storms that blow in from the Pacific, last for five minutes and blow right back out again!

Also, the people around me are a much better class of folks than I ever knew in Humboldt. Yep! Even the folks born and raised here are far nicer than any of the arrogant, narcissistic pot-head fools I ever knew in that God forsaken place!

every time a grower eats, sleeps, or even shits he pays taxes. if you dont like pot growers why do you live in Humboldt? move to utah and join the mormons! or oklahoma and join the bible belt since you love to label peaceful pot growing mothers, fathers, and brothers as a criminal. dont get mad cuz growers leave bigger tips,drive nice trucks and take vacations away from the shithole in which you live to deliver pot down south! find something your good at and start doing it because you are certainly not good at writing this blog! but since your goal is to rid humboldt county of all the cannabis growers and make up lies to decieve many then i guess you might be pretty good.
