this was probly written by a cop but i do agree with some parts, too many tweekers and thieves but to say pot growing is immorral, this guy will burn in the same hell as the " lazy/greedy" pot growers whose jobs are way harder than the prick who writes this bs for the humcounty news!

We are not cops. We are not growers. Our jobs are difficult, and this blog is not a job. We work 60 hour weeks in white collar jobs here in Humboldt County. We pay taxes so you criminals don't have to (apparently). The blog was an attempt to better the community, but as you two have reiterated here, the community does not want to be better. It wants to be lawless and selfish. Have fun with that.

The Authors, as they have reiterated in their comment toward those commenting toward thier reiteration of others' comments...don't sound like they want to increase better anything themselves. Maybe communication has more to do with what is being said than how? Talking down of someone because of their spelling and grammar immediately discredits anything you're saying about bridging communication gaps, in my opinion. Shut up and be the change you want to see, rather than blog about other crybabies. One would think white-collar workers with college degrees would know this...did I spell hippocrite right? does it matter?

How have things changed since craigslist came to humboldt? How much time do you spend glazing it, and interpreting what's outside your window with what you read? It's happening on a subconscious level, but a shallow one. Step out of it. The internet is worse than TV....go outside and play during your time off, you stupid stupid idiots.

There is so much hate here and so much negativity. How can you peope all think that cursing at each other and demeaning one another is doing anything posititve for humboldt? I have lived in eureka for ten years and it is by far the most hate filled area I've ever been to. Its also one of the dirtiest and sleaziest parts of california. Yeah I'm with ranter no. 1. Time tp move back to the real world ie out of humboldt.

I hope you that hate this place find a nice police state to show your papers in. Don't forget to get the chip inplant, that will make it easier for you to get through the check points to your gated community.

Well, I have to tell you, it's a far sight better living on the North Shore of Kauai than it was living in Helmboldt (Mendocino, actually). The weather is sweeeeeeeeet! It's warm all the time, It's a one minute walk from my house to the sweet, sandy beaches and I love the summer rain storms that blow in from the Pacific, last for five minutes and blow right back out again!

Also, the people around me are a much better class of folks than I ever knew in Humboldt. Yep! Even the folks born and raised here are far nicer than any of the arrogant, narcissistic pot-head fools I ever knew in that God forsaken place!

I agree with the ranter. Get over this pot thing and get a life you loser smokers. yeah..I smoked pot in high school is was cool a time or two but mostly it was something I knew I would discontinue doing as I entered the world and workforce as an adult. Today, I am a very successful business man ~ and I can tell you if I was still a pothead I would be as much a loser as others that smoke pot... Get on with your lives... make something of yourselves, it's alot more fun than the high you get from smoking weed. Oh...and unrelated, we have some friends that moved here (Humboldt) from the bay area... after a couple months they began noticing that a large majority of folks up here are unattractive - just plain ugly and don't know how to dress (or don't care)..they call Humboldters the "ugly people"... Ever since then I can't help but notice it's true. Do all the good looking kids move away after high school? Are we the leper island of california? just askin'.....
